Our Story
Northern Beaches Accountants was founded in 2008 with a simple mission: to provide the kind of personalised, expert financial advice that was previously only available to large corporations — but for everyday Australians and local businesses.
Over two decades, we've grown from a one-person practice into a trusted team of three specialist advisers, all deeply rooted in the Northern Beaches community. We know the local economy, the local challenges, and the local opportunities.
Whether you're lodging your first tax return, growing a small business, or planning for retirement, we bring the same level of care and expertise to every client relationship.

The people behind the practice
About me
Paul Bailey
Principal Accountant & Founder
Is a Northern Beaches accountant with 44 years of professional experience spanning tax compliance, BAS, bookkeeping, and advisory. Raised and based in Newcastle Paul has built a career around disciplined financial practice, clear communication, and steady decision‑making—qualities mirrored in his commitment to Surf Life Saving. An active member of Manly Life Saving Club for 17 patrol seasons, Paul has been credited with over 27 lives saved across numerous ocean rescues and over 100 first‑aid responses on patrol along the Patrol Area. The work has sharpened his ability to remain calm under pressure, follow procedure precisely, and act decisively in uncertain conditions.beyond patrol, Paul undertakes annual 10 km butterfly swims to raise awareness and funds for mental health. Through these nine (a worl record) endurance events, he has helped raise over $30,000 to date in support of organisations such as Lifelone. The goal is twofold: to contribute tangible support to services that help people in crisis, and to model resilience and consistency through long‑form athletic effort. Combining technical accounting acumen with community service, Paul sees both domains as expressions of the same principles: preparation, accountability, teamwork, and care for people. Whether refining financial systems or scanning a crowded lineup on patrol, he prioritises diligence, safety, and practical solutions.
